Spatial Experience Designer

About the Role

ZURU Tech is pioneering the future of prefabricated homes through radical innovation and automation. As a Spatial Experience Designer, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming houses into thoughtfully designed homes. This position focuses on implementing high-quality spatial arrangements and staging for ZURU homes, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure design excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software development teams to integrate superior design standards into home staging and renderings.
• Support the AI team in creating innovative automated staging tools.
• Define rules for optimizing room sizes, layouts, and enhancing user experience.
• Develop lighting principles to improve the ambiance and comfort of ZURU houses.
• Establish guidelines for smart device placements, improving home functionality.
• Assist in designing test buildings to refine products and enhance quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Spatial Experience Design, Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in spatial design or a related discipline.
• Fluency in Chinese is essential.
• Strong understanding of proportions and user experience principles.
• Proficiency with CAD software, particularly Rhino.
• Excellent rendering skills, with experience in Unreal Engine preferred.
• Strong technical, verbal, and aesthetic representation skills.
• Willingness to innovate and challenge traditional design processes.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams within tight timelines.
