Senior Design Technologist - Visual Innovation Team

Amazon’s Visual Innovation Team (VIT) is at the forefront of creating immersive shopping experiences through advanced visuals, VR/AR shopping, CGI, and generative AI (GenAI). We are seeking a Senior Design Technologist to bridge the gap between creative and technical disciplines. In this role, you will develop innovative tools and workflows, expand Amazon’s virtual production capabilities, and improve the efficiency of visual content creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with creatives and scientists to innovate content creation processes.
• Develop and expand Amazon’s Virtual Production workflow.
• Build and maintain a centralized suite of creative workflows and tools.
• Prototype and deliver solutions for technical challenges in video content creation, with a focus on GenAI and automation.
• Work directly with videographers and studio teams to optimize semi-automated production workflows.
• Research and implement the latest industry trends in virtual production and GenAI.

A Day in the Life

Your daily activities will focus on:

• Coding and developing tools, workflows, and automation to improve production teams' efficiency.
• Collaborating with production crews to observe and prototype creative solutions.
• Balancing creative and engineering needs to ensure scalable and effective solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper.
• Proven ability to develop visually polished, highly fluid UX prototypes.
• Strong portfolio showcasing coding samples and front-end programming expertise.
• Experience collaborating with UX, Product, and engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with AWS database services like ElasticSearch, Redshift, and DynamoDB.
• Experience with machine learning tools and methods.
