Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior AI Designer to join our team working on Lego Fortnite. You will be part of a cross-discipline development team that owns the vision and drives innovative features and content that expand the Fortnite universe.

Responsibilities

• Own the design vision for AI-focused features
• Craft high-quality, player-facing AI behaviors and abilities using behavior trees and visual scripting
• Create quick prototypes to demonstrate new ideas in game
• Collaborate with team members from various disciplines
• Cooperate with other AI team designers to define and promote a cohesive vision
• Use playtest feedback to iterate and improve AI features
• Create and maintain clear design documentation

Requirements

• Experience shipping multiple AAA titles as a Designer
• Experience developing AI for highly systemic environments
• Experience creating behavior trees and using visual scripting
• Creative approach that can surprise and amaze players
• Strong empathy for players and understanding of player motivations
• Excellent team player with strong communication skills
