Product Designer

You are an action-oriented designer eager to drive the creation of delightful software that unlocks the power of AI for our users in innovation, R&D and IP.

As a Product Designer at Ankar AI, you own the product design, user experience and interfaces of our products - ensuring our products are valuable, easy to use and of the highest level of craft and execution. You learn from our customers in a variety of roles, from lab scientist to IP engineer to C-suite, and drive our priorities for building value adding workflows that they won't want to live without. You work closely with engineers, and customers. You master your craft to produce what we need, from user flows to runnable prototypes, in order to turn designs into real products. Like every single team member here, you will play a key role in making Ankar AI a success.

You master Product Design and enjoy wearing multiple hats, using your UI/UX design skill to help with things like UI, branding, and marketing.

We are based in London. We are an in person team who values working together from our office in London Fields.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our engineering team and customers to understand user needs and develop concepts, flows, wireframes, detailed visuals, interactive prototypes, etc.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure that designs are implemented accurately, while taking into account the constraints and opportunities for moving fast and iterating
• Stay connected to the reality of our users and help us expand our offering while perfecting each product
• Utilize your full range of product design, interaction design and visual design skills, while contributing to high-level strategic decisions with product and executive partners
• Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Product Design in a B2B SaaS company, ideally in a technical field, demonstrating an ability to build and ship 0 to 1 tools and products given a broad and ambiguous scope
• Expertise in interaction design, user research and usability testing, with the ability to define experiences based on a deep understanding of people's needs
• Expertise in visual design, layout and web app UI and you take pride in your sense of aesthetic
• Expertise in product thinking through defining product goals, opportunities to scale existing products and prioritisation based on business and end user value
• Experience in B2B startups is a plus
