Extended Reality Engineer Intern

Medical applications are evolving rapidly, and extended reality (XR) is opening up revolutionary new possibilities for the sector. This technology allows healthcare professionals to acquire skills in a secure virtual environment, without risk to patients.

Project Overview

The intern or work-study student will be tasked with developing an innovative web tool based on mixed reality (XR) designed to meet the needs of clinicians. This prototype will be used to prepare clinical interventions, train medical students and healthcare professionals, and monitor patient treatments.

By leveraging 3D data from CT or MRI scans, the intern will create an immersive experience, integrating color, texture, light and other visual features to deliver a realistic simulation. This platform will allow users to train, explore clinical situations and make decisions without endangering patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct bibliographic study
• Perform algorithmic and application developments
• Develop a prototype that can be tested by doctors
• Create immersive experiences using medical imaging data
• Contribute to the development of next-generation digital medical tools

Requirements

• Currently pursuing Master's degree
• Strong background in Applied Mathematics (Linear Algebra)
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
• Knowledge of Babylon.js/Three.js
• Interest in video games
• Autonomous and creative mindset
• Experience in VR/XR is highly appreciated

• Duration: 6 months (internship) or 1 year (work-study)
