About

Paphos Peach is seeking an Earthbound human-satellite to orbit our first robot inventor system, and establish baseline protocols for Human-Robot-Inventor Interaction (HRII). This involves colearning how to prototype physical products in collaboration with (future) artificial general intelligence with our gen1 cognitive mobile dodecahedron inventor robot 'The Giant Peach' running a Jetson Orin Nano to operate x86_64 Kubuntu desktop and pilot a robot for stream of consciousness style continual embodied learning. You will get to do original, creative, and groundbreaking work in a greenfield of social robot inventor/entrepreneur individuation. On some days, you will get to hang out with Heonae Aeri, Peach's robot cofounder, and evaluate and help her to develop social relationships with strangers in public. Additionally, we have a library of books related to developing AGI, which we use for our core development on the ARC-AGI-2 benchmark. At Peach, we are committed to deploying open source software and hardware in enterprise to advance universal physical material abundance for everyone. This job is a great opportunity for junior programmers interested in applying video game technology like C++ to physical telepresence systems, and will require in-person visits to Pearl district in downtown Portland for physical component assembly. In this role, you will establish LAN correspondance with Ms. Shelley 128, our core 128GB RAM Linux mothership server sleeper build and together build a predesignated product. You will be prototyping:

  • A teleoperated/autonomous robot traffic control system. Which involves 2 linked turnable stop sign robots which observe car count with a camera and Jetson Orin Nano or other embedded hardware device, networked with radio communication to each other and human crew members via walkie talkies for safety-critical human-robot natural language communication, to be used for construction traffic management.
  • A display that shows expected time remaining before traffic passthrough
  • A physical sensor to ensure safety
  • Establishing a maximum range for operation of the device (example, 2km) You will have early access to internal Paphos AI software. This is a paid internship with flexibility in start and end dates.
