Hardware Product Manager AI - (VR/AR)

About Team

As a world-renowned VR/AR brand with independent innovation and R&D capabilities, Pico has been at the forefront of the consumer electronic market. We have teams in Northern America, Europe, Japan and South Korea. We are looking for a skilled and creative hardware product manager to join us to build our VR/AR new product.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and drive the entire product lifecycle process, including market analysis, product definition, design, development, packaging, manufacturing, launch, and post-sales support
• Plan features based on product concepts, analyze user behavior, draft product specifications, facilitate initial requirement communications, conduct technical research, and track and study related product concept requirements
• Monitor project progress, ensuring product stages align with requirements, and collaborate with the project manager to create quality and risk management plans
• Manage, implement, and validate product requirements, as well as control and make decisions on any changes to product requirements
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities; proactively gather insights into user needs, propose improvements, and continuously enhance the product experience
• Facilitate communication and coordination with other departments, such as Sales, Marketing, and R&D
• Provide support related to the market and sales of the product

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Product Design, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the consumer electronics or wearable technology industry
• Proven track record of successfully launching products in collaboration with software and AI teams
• Solid understanding of hardware product development cycles, AI technologies, and software development processes
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and their integration into consumer products
• Knowledge of design principles and user experience best practices
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to perform trade-off analysis effectively
• Data-driven mindset with experience in market analysis and competitive positioning

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies
• Passion for smart wearables and emerging technologies, with a strong drive to create innovative products
• Experience working with international teams and suppliers
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements for wearable devices
