AR/VR Developer - Unreal Engine

Role Summary

The AR/VR Developer Internship offers a 4-month, unpaid opportunity with potential for a full-time position. This role involves creating realistic virtual avatars using MetaHuman Creator and Unreal Engine, integrating conversational capabilities through AI tools like ChatGPT and Google Dialog Flow, and deploying interactive avatars for web platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Metahumans using MetaHuman Creator.
• Import Metahumans to Unreal Engine and modify appearance, lighting, and clothing.
• Implement interactive avatars using Text-to-Speech and Speech-to-Text APIs.
• Integrate Virtual Avatars with AI tools such as ChatGPT and Google Dialog Flow.
• Package and deploy web-compatible virtual avatars.
• Collaborate with the front-end team to integrate avatars into web projects.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Virtual Avatars, contributing to research and development efforts in VR and the Metaverse.
• Document and share best practices, success stories, and case studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, virtual/augmented reality, or a related field.
• Proven experience with interactive Metahuman avatars, including case studies or examples.
• Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine, Unity, and programming languages (C++, C#).
• Passion for AR/VR and staying updated with advancements in the field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous coaching or mentoring experience is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
