Role Summary

As an Animation Producer, you'll lead the creative development of 2D and 3D animation projects to inspire and educate the public. Working closely with engineering and creative teams, you’ll deliver high-quality animations that meet SpaceX’s exacting standards for quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute animation projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with engineering, creative, and communication teams to prioritize and produce impactful animations.
• Monitor key company milestones and create supporting visual content.
• Push creative boundaries while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Oversee all phases of production, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
• Manage vendor resources and evaluate their contributions to enhance creative output.
• Communicate project status and performance metrics to stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of professional experience in 3D animation and 2D motion graphics.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of animation experience.
• Expertise in 3D software: Houdini, Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D.
• Experience with rendering engines: Redshift, Octane, Arnold, V-Ray.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Expertise in Adobe Substance and compositing software (Fusion, Nuke).
• Knowledge of CAD assets and data processing tools like QGIS.
• Experience in Unreal Engine 4/5, scripting languages, and procedural 3D systems.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Strong visual and conceptual problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with video compositing, 2D digital assets, and color correction.

Additional Requirements

• Online portfolio showcasing examples of 2D and 3D animation is required.
• Willingness to work extended hours or weekends during product launch campaigns.
• Relocation to Starbase, TX, if not already local.
